So many of the things we feel
inside our hearts today
Are there 'cause someone special
cared enough along the way -
Someone who believed in us
when faith was running low,
Or whose gentle words of wisdom
helped us choose which way to go,
Someone who could bring us laughter
even in our tears,
Whose memories make us smile
across the miles and through the years,
Someone who's done more
than they could ever realize -
Someone who will always be
a hero in our eyes.
